Ripples from La Prairie Voyageur Canoes
I have been putting together a collection of essays and family histories about the voyageur ancestors of Lucy Pinsonneau (1836 - 1917), my 2nd great grandmother.
The collection titled, Ripples from La Prairie Voyageur Canoes, covers well over 100 of Lucy's ancestors, from more than 25 families, that were engaged in the fur trade between the 1620s and 1840s in New France and later Canada.

Hello
ReplyDeletealors là vous avez fait une sacré recherche....en plus je vois qu'ils y a beaucoup d'origines française...
So long Jica
My French is very poor, but I'll take your comment as a compliment. Do we share ancestors?
ReplyDeleteI'd like to start by saying this blog is amazing. We share quite a few ancestors in common: Duquet, Convent (loved the post about Anne!), Amiot, Desroches, and Sedilot. Lastly, is there a print version of this? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Anthony, Thanks for your kind words. I purposely published "Ripples" online because with only 25 families I figured it would never be a best seller. I printed one copy for myself. It is 8.5 x 11 inch pages in a 3-ring binder. I printed it in B&W at a cost of roughly $45. You can download each page, put them in any text editor, and convert them to pdf thus having a document with color photos. I would be willing to make a DVD of my original pdf and mail it at a cost of $20.00 each to cover my time, materials and postage (USA only).
ReplyDeletePLEASE NOTE: My original pdf is 240 pages and ends with "Ripples endnotes," everything beginning with the "index" and published later is not part of my original 240 page pdf.
