Cowgirls love jet pilots -- especially when they call you mom

Our youngest child has had an interesting career path.  He graduated from UCLA with a degree in communications and immediately went to work as television writer.  He worked on a couple of major sitcoms, and was doing pretty well financially, so he took some flying lessons with the idea of ultimately owning a small airplane.

He fell in love with flying, so during one of those post-season hiatuses,  he decided to apply for a job as a pilot.  Ten years later he is a airline captain based at Chicago ORD, and is flying jets around the USA and Canada.

But, to my cowgirl wife he always be her baby boy.

She really looks forward to those--all too few--home visits from her jet pilot.
