Tom Tyler (1903-1954) was an American actor and B-Western cowboy star. His is best known role was that of the superhero in The Adventures of Captain Marvel (1941) serial.
His film career stretched from the silent films of the 1920s to sound motion pictures in the 1950s. Most of his starring roles were in Westerns. During the 1930s he starred in many B-Westerns produced by Reliable Pictures and Victory Pictures. In the 1940s he moved to Republic where he starred in several of 'The Three Mesquiteers' feature films. He also played support roles in films like John Ford's Stagecoach (1939)
